Emma Peters
Emma is the lively driving force behind EmmaPilates, and is, quite simply, living proof, that it works!
She has a lifelong love of fitness but has also experienced some of the challenges and injuries of staying fit over time. Today in her fifties, she’s stronger and more agile than ever BECAUSE she’s taught Pilates for 16 years!
Emma lives in Lewes and owns Station Street STUDIO where Mat Classes take place. -

Susi Owusu
A calming and expert teacher of more than 12 years, who will put you in the zone to bring your mind to the present to connect fully into each movement . She will help you reach your goals, and is highly observant and adaptable. Her philosophy is…be the best you – whatever size, shape or fitness level. Her speciality is hip-replacements rehab, but she is very experienced and able to work with everyone..

Sarah Cox
Sarah joined EmmaPilates as a teacher in Feb 26 having started out as a client! Energetic and seriously fit, Sarah is passionate about getting the most out of life! In October 2025 she completed her sixth of the World MarathonMajors in Chicago. She is a qualified nutritionalist, as well as Mat & Reformer Instructor. She has a vast knowledge about hyper-mobility due to personal experience of both her and her daughter.
Sarah is methodical, precise and competent.

Jenny Chapman
Jenny’s love of Pilates began while working as a fitness instructor and personal trainer, where she saw its value in rehabilitation and injury prevention. This led her to retrain as a Physiotherapist, working in musculoskeletal practice for over 15years. Today she is a full-time Pilates instructor for mat and full studio equipment including reformer. She’s fun, warm and witty!

Charis Holsworth
Charis is a lovely, approachable, knowledgeable teacher who makes you feel like you’re the only person in the room. She has many years experience working at a busy physiotherapist’s, but also teaches dance to teenagers multiple times per week at a large secondary school. She has well over 10 years Pilates mat and reformer teaching experience.

Hannah Elliott
Hannah has an amazing knowledge of human biomechanics through a previous career in osteopathy. Now, she brings her careful approach into Pilates with small group sessions, using a deliberate pace so you get each movement just right before moving on. She has 19 years experience and is also a mum of 3.
